Things that go bump in daylight

A big storm, and I mean BIG, went through yesterday at about 5 PM. Trees are down, power was out and big messes all over town and into Coeur d Alene. I drove into Spokane to pick up Steve from the airport and power was starting to come back at about midnight as we were driving along Hwy 95; but not at our house.

Power came back between 1:30 and 2 AM. It is still out south of us in Sagle. We have a huge mess to clean up in the yard so no blogging until tomorrow. The wind is blowing and the sun can't decide what she wants to do, so I'm going to turn the computer off.

Oh bummer. Glad you are safe though. Isn't big trees-a-fallin one of the 12 days of Christmas? hmmm...

Big mess or not, I'm really envious of your big storm. Our summer weather is so boring, a nice storm would really be welcome to break the monotony.

We need the rain badly, but not the wind and power outages. Hope you get back to normal soon.

Yep, the same wicked storm blew threw here as well. Very severe winds blew trees down, uprooted a good amount of trees around the Creston and Nelson and Cranbrook Areas, powerlines are down. It really kept the fire department busy.... Thunder and lightning... Wow... it was crazy! Glad you are safe.

The only thing - and I mean the very only thing hubby is afraid of is lightning. I've never seen any really strong storms - we have wildfires, drought, earthquakes, flooding but no really big thunder and lightning storms. We really need rain this year!

WE have had wild weather and rain here also...but its winter down under and realy unusual for rain and "summer" type storms to hit now...but apart from some tragic deaths...which don't bear thinking about in my present state of mind...all the water tanks are full and there isn green grass everywhere...
